Mission

The Arlington Neighborhood Association (ANA) was founded to make Arlington a fair and positive place to live. Presently, the ANA seeks to preserve the Arlington residential neighborhood in Poughkeepsie, New York from proposed commercial development.

The ANA seeks to increase access to resources including education, housing and green space. The ANA promotes efforts that will make Arlington, Poughkeepsie, and the greater region a more equitable, socially integrated and economically accessible place to live.  

The ANA serves as a liaison for the residential community to communicate with the town, the city, the county, andwithd the college and business district. When feasible, the ANA utilizes legal representation to assert and protect the rights of the residential neighborhood.
